Sudirman Said Tuding the Development in the Jokowi Era for Pursuing Elections
Channel Rakyat. Economic development in the era of President Joko Widodo is currently considered poor planning and without thorough preparation. This was said by the Director of the Material and Debate of the Prabowo-Sandi National Winning Body (BPN), Sudirman Said.
Sudirman criticized the economic development model of President Joko Widodo's administration, which he said seemed to be done in the interests of the election. Sudirman said that the construction of the Trans Java toll road project and the Jakarta-Bandung fast train as one of the models of economic development carried out with a pragmatic approach.
"It is too clear, too, it seems that as if the economic development agenda is linked to the Election agenda. In order to become an inauguration ceremony it is forced to finish faster, forced development which is not necessarily in accordance with needs," said Sudirman in Wednesday's Blue Discussion 'Towards the Indonesian Economy the Just and Prosperous' in Prabowo-Sandi Media Center, Jalan Sriwijaya I, South Jakarta, Wednesday 9 January 2018.
Not only done with a pragmatic approach, economic development in the Jokowi era was also accused of removing the technocratic approach.
Sudirman said that the economic fundamentals of a country were built over a long period of time. Therefore, it needs a scientific study of the conditions, potential, problems and strategic issues faced by Indonesia in the future.
"Industrialization is not possible to be managed in a short term, changing leaders, it is impossible. I imagine if building food security or food sovereignty then energy and manufacturing are not returned to the technocrats, then we will continue to run in place and finally play on the gimmick "It's a stimulus and not an economic fundamentals," Sudirman said.
Sudirman said, if elected, when leading Indonesia in the period 2019-2024, Prabowo-Sandi will focus on returning the model of economic development with a strategic and technocratic approach. Therefore, excessive politicization of the country's economic agenda is expected to be reduced.
"The message from Prabowo-Sandi's economy is to grow jobs as much as possible and the second for the people in the lower classes who are important is stable prices. Prabowo-Sandi will focus on these two things," Sudirman said.
